Fundamental properties of “Non-equilibrium and multi-phase plasmas”, as a new category of plasmas, and their control technique are studied for elemental development of high current circuit breakers, arc plasma cutting and heat-resistant materials, and so on.　In addition, industrial applications of the non-equilibrium and multi-phase plasmas for synthesis of multifunctional nanoparticles and films are developed.
